As part of being a student at NWIC you get the Microsoft Suite— for free! This includes programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, among others. In order to use the programs you can either install them onto your computer or use them online. This guide goes over how to install the programs onto your computer.

Important: If you have a Chromebook or Tablet, you will not be able to download the Microsoft Suite. You will still be able to use Office 365 cloud apps, which are on the left hand side of your Office.com homepage. How to Download Microsoft Programs

1. Log into your office.nwic.edu account. You will use your email and password that you chose when setting up your student account.

2. After logging in, you will be taken to the Office.com front page. In the top right corner you will see a button that says Install Office. Click on this to download the program.

3. After downloading. go to your Download folder in your Operating System. Open up the OfficeSetup.exe folder and click on install to begin the process. Follow the steps in the dialogue box when it pops up.

4. You can open up the program by going to the search bar in your operating system and type in the program you want to use.
